RCAP Webinar | Process Controls Strategies for Troubleshooting Lagoon Operations
Lagoon systems are widely used in wastewater treatment due to their simplicity and cost-effectiveness. However, when operational issues arise—such as odor complaints, poor effluent quality, or sludge buildup—identifying the root causes and applying effective process control strategies can be challenging.
This 1-hour webinar is designed to equip operators and wastewater professionals with practical tools and strategies to troubleshoot common problems in lagoon systems. Participants will learn how to interpret key process indicators, implement diagnostic sampling and monitoring techniques, and apply targeted control measures to restore and maintain system performance. This webinar is funded under RCAP’s EPA Treatment Works 5 (Lagoons) 23 – 26 grant.
Our presenters are Ty Leydig, Mark Cubbon, and Jasmine Diaz, from the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC).
