RCAP Webinar | PFAS in Wastewater
PFAS has become an every-day concern in the water and wastewater industries, but what do you really need to know about it and how do you effectively communicate with the public about PFAS concerns? With rapidly changing regulatory requirements and an increase in public attention, the topic of PFAS is on the minds of all who work in our industry. This webinar is focused on explaining the basic science of PFAS, why these substances are of concern, and why this is relevant to small systems. Key goals are to:
– Improve basic literacy on PFAS and related issues in small-system wastewater management;
– Provide resources and tools that can be utilized to communicate to stakeholders about overall challenge and issues specific to attendees’ jobs;
– Discuss expected challenges and equip attendees with resources and knowledge to proactively address issues.
Join us as we discuss the current state of the science and regulations and provide tools and perspectives for managers and operators as they face new challenges at their utilities. Our speaker is Christina Stringer, Director of Wastewater and Onsite Programs, NEIWPCC.
