RCAP Webinar | Income Surveys – the Who, What, Where, When, and Why

We are in the midst of what has been called a “once-in-a-generation investment” in the United States. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law invests over $50 billion for the nation’s water infrastructure. Unfortunately, some small water and wastewater systems may struggle to take advantage of state and federal funding programs, including the State Revolving Fund programs. One of the factors for determining grant and loan eligibility for SRF and other funding programs is often based on census data, including household income. This data does not always accurately represent the income of a community or of the service area of the water, wastewater, or stormwater utility, resulting in the need to perform an income survey. In this webinar, we will explore what an income survey is, why a water or wastewater system may (or may not) need one, and how having an accurate picture of household income in a community can increase access to infrastructure funding. This webinar is funded by our Environmental Finance Center (EFC) grant.

Our speakers are Laurie Stevens, PE; Regional Director (ME, NH, VT), and Erick Toledo, Community & Environmental Resources, NH Manager. Both are from RCAP Solutions.
