RCAP Webinar | Contaminant of Concern: Manganese, May 7, 2024

Manganese has been on ongoing concern for many water utilities, historically for aesthetic reasons. More recently, it has been studied for adverse health effects and was monitored by the USEPA from 2018-2020 as part of the UCMR 4. This webinar will provide an overview of Manganese: what it is, where it’s found and obvious indicators. We will also discuss why it’s a concern for utilities and regulators, what current regulations are, and provide troubleshooting suggestions and resources. This webinar is funded under our EPA NPA 1 23 – 25 grant.
