Private Wells

RCAP manages an EPA-funded program to provide training and technical assistance for private well owners, stakeholders and environmental health professionals to help improve water quality and public health. This program includes the provision of comprehensive individual well assessments and water quality sampling.

In addition to our work at the system or community level, RCAP also has a private well program, funded by EPA, which allows RCAP and its partners to provide training, technical assistance and outreach to well owners across the country and the professionals and stakeholders that serve them. Through hands on virtual and in person live workshops, in depth well assessments, outreach events, well test kits, newsletters, blogs, podcasts, and self-paced learning, RCAP and its partners can reach hundreds if not thousands of well owners a year so that they can make informed decisions and better protect the quality of their well water and thus the health of their families.
