Straight From The TAP – Katrina Hiott

August 5, 2019 | Blog, General RCAP News

Katrina Hiott is a Rural Development Specialist with Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC), our Western RCAP.  She’s been with RCAC for one and a half years and is based out of Northern California.

Before joining RCAC, Katrina was an environmental health specialist for water protection programs in the Yolo and Sacramento counties.  She helped communities comply to the Safe Drinking Water Act by creating and conducting environmental education programs, performing water system sanitary surveys and private well evaluations.  In addition, Katrina also reviewed and approved well construction, and inspected new construction of on-site wastewater systems.

When asked what her favorite part about working in the RCAP network, Katrina said, “there are so many reasons, but if I have to choose one, it is the passion and support of the organization in doing what will improve people’s lives and the environment.” Thank you, Katrina, for all of the hard work and dedication you’ve shown to improve quality of life, starting at the tap.
