On #StraightFromTheTAP today we spoke with Julie Ward, a Rural Development Specialist with our Great Lakes RCAP, for which she is in Ohio. She has been a team member for 25 years, and still feels the same way about the RCAP network as she did when she joined. When she first interacted with RCAP she was working on a W. K. Kellogg grant at Ohio University called “Training for Local Officials.” Ward was very impressed with the RCAP mission and the network, and knew she wanted to become more involved.
Her favorite thing about the RCAP network is how driven everyone involved continues to be. She enjoys working with colleagues who remain dedicated to addressing the unique needs of small systems in rural areas. Ward appreciates the diversity associated with her position, because no two jobs are ever the same and she is constantly seeing new opportunities, “Our corporation has always promoted a continuous learning environment.” Thank you, Julie, for all of the hard work and dedication you’ve shown to improve quality of life, starting at the tap.
