Jim Jones is a Technical Assistance Provider with our Midwest RCAP, MAP. He is based in South Dakota and has been part of the MAP team for five years.

Jim has 20 years of experience treating drinking water and wastewater. Prior to MAP, he served as Water Superintendent for the city of Mankato, Minnesota and Wastewater Chief Operator for the city of Waseca, Minnesota. He holds the highest certifications in both water and wastewater treatment in two states along with a degree in biology.

As a Technical Assistance Provider, Jim takes great pride in helping communities solve issues with their water and wastewater systems while meeting their goals. “My favorite part about working with MAP and the greater RCAP network is helping operators become state certified,” he said. Thank you, Jim, for all the hard work and dedication you’ve shown to improve quality of life, starting at the tap.
