Straight From the TAP – Deborah Patton

February 27, 2020 | Blog, General RCAP News

Deborah Patton was a Rural Development Specialist with RCAP’s partner, Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC), based out of Arizona with more than ten years of experience with RCAP.

Prior to joining RCAP, Deborah acquired her Master’s Degree in Environmental Biology, served as an assistant under the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Special Projects, and obtained her Tribal Operator Certification in Program Development and Implementation through EPA.

When asked about her favorite part about working in the RCAP network, Deborah responded, “the idea of growing up in rural America, then returning to rural America helped me to be a better skilled and understanding employee for RCAC. Additionally, I enjoyed the fact that I was trusted to work in an environment where my skills were used to help rural water and wastewater systems, with assistance from other RCAC’ers if needed!”

Although Deborah is retiring from her role, we wanted to thank her for all the hard work and dedication she has shown to improve the quality of life, starting at the tap.
