June 26, 2020 | General RCAP News

Consuelo McGowan is a Technical Assistance Provider for Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project (SERCAP) in Delaware. She has been employed with SERCAP for two years.

Prior to joining RCAP, Consuelo worked for the State of Delaware Division of Family Services as a Family Crisis Therapist for more than 10 years and as an Extension Agent for the University of Delaware for more than five years. All of Consuelo’s positions have been centered around working with vulnerable populations to improve their safety and quality of life.

When asked about her favorite part about working in the RCAP Network, Consuelo responded with “the vastness of different programs and resources that ultimately have the same end goal – helping families and communities”.

Her future goals within the RCAP Network include working with vulnerable communities to build relationships and help them recognize their value.

Thank you, Consuelo, for all of the hard work and dedication you’ve shown to improve rural quality of life, starting at the tap.
