Straight From the TAP – Brian Day

February 26, 2019 | General RCAP News

The second of February 2019’s Straight From the TAP series highlights Brian Day, a Technical Assistance Provider with Midwest Assistance Program (MAP), RCAP’s Midwestern region. Day has been providing MAP with his expertise for the past four years, and he is located in North Dakota.

Before joining MAP, Day assisted communities with Community Development Assistance Program (CDAP) grants and USDA Rural Development loans through a position with the Illinois Rural Community Assistance Program. Prior to that position, Day was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic. Through his service, he assisted a community with the implementation of a water filter project that provided 50 houses and their neighbors with clean potable water.

“My favorite part about working with RCAP is establishing camaraderie with city officials,” said Day. He enjoys the partnerships created where he is viewed as not just a Technical Assistance Provider, but a confidante and friend. Thank you, Brian, for all of the hard work and dedication you’ve shown to improve quality of life, starting at the tap.
