It is in every wastewater utility’s interest to have as many customers as possible pay their bills on time and in full. Small communities, however, often have to charge higher rates to their customers in order to cover the full cost of their day-to-day operations and their needed infrastructure projects, to gain or maintain compliance. Some customers have difficulty paying their bills on time when rates are higher. This webinar will describe how small communities can assess the affordability of their utility rates and will discuss strategies utilities can use to get more of their customers to pay their bills on time.
