Washington, DC (October 22, 2018) – The Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) is excited to announce the addition of three new staff members at the national office in Washington, D.C. The new team members include John Felleman as Director of Technology, Kevin Kundert as Technical Assistance Specialist, and Kinsey Brown as Communications and Office Assistant. RCAP looks forward to the contributions each new member will lend to its mission.
John Felleman joined RCAP in October of 2018 as the Director of Technology. John delivers innovative solutions that meet the needs of ordinary citizens, small businesses, and organizational staff. He applies user-centered design and Agile practices to produce results that generate good outcomes with limited resources. John was selected as a Presidential Innovation Fellow in 2013. He helped the government’s BusinessUSA program create and promote services that assisted small businesses. At the end of the Fellowship, he stayed on at the General Services Administration as an Innovation Specialist. In that role, he led the development of GSA’s Acquisition Gateway, which helps the federal acquisition workforce spend taxpayer dollars more economically and effectively. John’s work for the Federal Government followed experience leading innovative product teams at Adobe and Intuit, providing tools that helped small businesses and individuals meet their goals. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at MIT and has an MBA from Boston College.
Kevin Kundert joined the RCAP national office in August 2018. He is an experienced water operator and technical assistance provider with a bachelor’s degree in Earth Science (Geohydrology) from Montana State University – Bozeman. Kevin has developed numerous interactive training tools for water operations including the Operator Basics Training Series (32 hours), Sanitary Survey Fundamentals, Virtual System Explorer, Source Water Protection Training, and many other training modules. Kevin is focused on water/wastewater grant activities, training curriculum development and modification, and training activities at the RCAP regional and national levels.
Kinsey Brown joined RCAP in July 2018 as the Communications and Office Assistant. Before joining RCAP, Kinsey served as the Office Manager for a digital public affairs agency, focusing on HR duties, internal communications and assisting with client projects. Kinsey graduated with honors from Hanover College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, French, and Business where she was the president of two student organizations. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Strategic Communication from American University.
