Webcast on "Saving Water & Energy -- Reducing Greenhouse Gases by Improving Efficiency"

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Watershed Academy will sponsor a free webcast on "Saving Water & Energy -- Reducing Greenhouse Gases by Improving Efficiency" on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT. This webcast addresses several programs in the water sector that can help communities make small changes that can lead to big reductions in greenhouse gases.

Webcast on monitoring and assessment under the Clean Water Act

EPA is announcing a Watershed Academy webcast on April 7, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm EDT titled "Monitoring and Assessment Under the on the Clean Water Act."

This is the third in a series of webcasts on the Clean Water Act (CWA). Earlier webcast topics included an introduction to the CWA and an introduction to water quality standards.

This webcast will focus on key aspects of monitoring and assessment under the CWA including:

Free water sector interdependencies training

The Water Environment Federation (WEF), in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), announces a series of general awareness trainings on water sector interdependencies. The training is offered at no cost to eligible participants. However, participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs. Executives, managers, and operators of water sector (water and wastewater) utilities, as well as representatives from other critical infrastructures, are the target audience of the training.
