On September 13, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. EDT, EPA will host a webinar for water and wastewater operator certification programs and state drinking water and wastewater programs on recruiting and training veterans for careers in the water sector. Topics include how Veterans Affairs programs can help veterans obtain operator certification and how states and utilities can employ veterans on a temporary basis at no cost.

The webinar is part of a 2012 memorandum of understanding between EPA and the VA Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Services to help connect veterans with disabilities to career opportunities in the water sector.
