Partnership of federal agencies and national organizations offers workshop funding, technical assistance, and additional resources

The Citizens' Institute on Rural Design (CIRD) is issuing a request for proposals to rural communities facing design challenges to host local workshops in 2013. Successful applicants will receive a $7,000 grant and in-kind design expertise and technical assistance valued at $35,000.

ASCE releases final Failure to Act Report

As a preface to ASCE’s 2013 Report Card for America’s Infrastructure, which will be released on March 19, the American Society of Civil Engineers unveiled during a teleconference on Jan. 15 its fifth and final report in the Failure to Act series, The Impact of Current Infrastructure Investment on America’s Economic Future, which addresses the comprehensive impacts of underinvesting in infrastructure in the U.S.
